Angie Cheasley
Marketing Officer
Angie has worked at Hereford Sixth Form College for over five years in the role of PA to the Deputy Principal (Staff and Students), Ruth Brinton.
As Ruth heads up the Marketing Unit, this means a substantial amount of Angie's work is marketing-related, including the typesetting of all the College's publications ranging from the College Prospectus to the College carrier bags.
The work of the Marketing Unit is ever-changing and Angie thrives on this challenge - whether it means sourcing a new College umbrella, managing some pretty large events or keeping the online newsletter, The Review, up-to-date.
Prior to joining us, Angie undertook various roles, including Publicity Co-ordinator for the Art and Design Admissions Registry (ADAR) for 11 years before UCAS took over Art and Design applications in 1997. She was Higher Education Administrator for Hereford College of Art for 4 years and PA to the Managing Director of PGL Adventure Holidays for 3 years.
Angie's a big footie fan (as a youngster she played for Bromyard Ladies FC) and, although just a spectator these days, she follows the highs and lows of the national side at home and away. Following England has taken her to some destinations that probably wouldn't have been top of her list - Croatia and Belarus to name but a few.
Her main interest is travel - but beware as disaster seems to follow her around. After a visit to Jerusalem fighting broke out; after a trip up Mount Etna it erupted - and whilst in Moscow the Ostankino Tower caught fire and, do we really need to mention what happened in Germany in 2006!
Watch this space for her next trip... so you can avoid Angie's chosen destination for a while, at least.
