Student, Henry Cosh, to attend World Affairs Seminar

21st February 2012

Henry Cosh, a current first year student at Hereford Sixth Form College, has been selected by the local Rotary District D1100 members to attend a world affairs seminar at Carroll University in Wisconsin, USA, in June 2012.

The seminar aims to explore cutting edge topics in the areas of emerging communication and technological developments. Seminar participants will: discuss global technology and communication; meet key-note, expert speakers; engage in media relations and blogging and build leadership and collaboration skills with peers to help them (our future leaders) prepare to deal with global problems and issues.

Jonathan Godfrey, Principal, said, “This is a fabulous opportunity which Henry well deserves. He worked his way through the gruelling selection process of presentations and interviews to impress and convince a highly qualified selection-panel. These professionals believe that he will gain and contribute significantly to the seminar experience.”

Hilary White, Head of Careers, who supported the student applicants said, “I look forward to hearing all about Henry’s experience and should also like to congratulate Alice Brankin who won through to the final selection process and was highly commended by the assessors.
