Oxbridge Success

As usual large numbers of Hereford Sixth Form College students have gained offers for places at Oxford or Cambridge:

- Alex Newby (Computing and Philosophy – Hertford, Oxford)
- Andrew Read (Biomedical Science – St Anne’s, Oxford)
- Beth Ridsdale (Theology/Religion – Emmanuel, Cambridge)
- Sam Ellis Ruhemann (Music – Kings, Cambridge)
- Christopher Senft (Maths – Corpus Christi, Cambridge)
- Jack Wheatley (Maths and Philosophy – Balliol, Oxford)
- Amy Williams (History – St Peter’s, Oxford)
Principal, Jonathan Godfrey said “I am delighted that the hard work of students and the staff who support them has been recognised. The success rate for our applications to Oxford and Cambridge is almost twice the national average. It is a reflection of the strength of teaching across the College that such a wide variety of subjects is covered.”
Dr Paul Dellar, Tutor for Admissions at Corpus Christi College Oxford said “Thank you for encouraging your students to apply to Oxford and for supporting their applications. I hope their success will encourage more of your students to consider Oxford in the future.”
Dr Mike Sewell of Selwyn College Cambridge said, “I do hope that we will be seeing other able candidates from your College applying to us in the future.”
