PEOPLE CENTRED PRINCIPAL AT HEREFORD SIXTH FORM COLLEGE
3rd August 2010
Jonathan Godfrey, Principal of Hereford Sixth Form College, was recently named as one of the five most 'people focused’ chief executives in the public sector by HR Magazine the leading publication for the Human Resources sector, at an awards ceremony in the London Hilton.
HR Magazine editor Sian Harrington said “This work is voted for by employees and honours someone as a brilliant example of good leadership and ‘people policy’. It is not just an award for Human Resources management but an award for someone with exceptional skills at putting people at the top of their agenda, and whom the world of HR professionals should look up to as an example of excellence”.
Dr Godfrey, who was the only Headteacher in the country to be honoured in this way, said “I was delighted and surprised to receive the award which followed on from the College’s success in the Sunday Times ‘Best Places to Work in the Public Sector’ competition”.
