HEREFORD - BEST SIXTH FORM COLLEGE IN ENGLAND

5th August 2010

Hereford Sixth Form College has been placed top in a list of all sixth form colleges which summarises value-added results analysed over four years. The league table produced by the National A level Performance System is based on results gained by students of all ability who study in sixth form colleges and demonstrates that Hereford Sixth Form College produced A level grades well beyond expectations.

Jonathan Godfrey, Principal, said “The College has always had a national reputation for its results but I am delighted this has been confirmed by such a rigorous analysis of data from all colleges.”

Secretary of State for Education, the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, in congratulating the College said “I am delighted to hear of the success of your school. I very much want schools that excel, such as Hereford Sixth Form College, to continue to excel and do what they do best: provide high quality education for their pupils.”
