Sixth Form Football Academy Wins the League at First Attempt
1st July 2010
This season the Football Academy entered the British Colleges' League for the first time. The team responded superbly to the challenge and completed the league campaign undefeated, earning promotion to one of the highest levels of football in British Colleges' Sport.
Like all good teams, this one was built on solid foundations, with player of the year, Dan Price, and captain, Chris Ternouth, outstanding as centre backs. Leading scorer was Jaron McAuley. The whole squad were outstanding in their attitude to matches, attendance as training and general reliability - my thanks go to them for making my job such a pleasure.
