To The Limit - The College's Ski Trip 2010
7th May 2010
This year's ski trip was a huge success with 37 students from Hereford Sixth Form College travelling to Folgaria in Italy during the February half term. Snow conditions were perfect with glorious sunshine on the first day and beautiful powdery snow for the rest of the week.
Students were assigned a ski group depending on their ability and spent four hours a day with their instructor. All of the students showed great improvements over the course of the week with a few being elevated to the group above. The rest of the days were spent skiing with friends or the College staff, enjoying the warm hotel lunches or having a delicious hot chocolate (with cream!) on the slopes.
Evening activities were also available to students and great fun was had whizzing down the toboggan run on inflatable tyres, beating the staff at bowling and racing around the local ice rink. There was also the opportunity for students to relax in the local piano bar where two boys in particular not only impressed the other students but also the locals who sang along to their tunes. Next year’s trip is already planned so watch this space!
