The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the Public Sector Awards 2010

At a prestigious ceremony in London on 11th March 2010, Hereford Sixth Form College gained fourth place - and top College position - in this national competition entered by more than 200 public sector organisations.
Jonathan Godfrey, Principal, also won one of the three places in the final for the special award of "Best Leader".
Ruth Brinton, Deputy Principal (Staff and Students) was very proud to receive the award on behalf of the College from Bill Turnbull, the awards ceremony host.
The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in the Public Sector awards aim to celebrate the best public sector employers in Britain. On Sunday, 14th March, The Sunday Times published 1.2 million copies of a special supplement giving details of the best 75 organisations, with Hereford Sixth Form College featuring right at the top of the list. More than 200 organisations sought a place on this list, and the opinions of more than 45,000 employees were canvassed, making this by far the largest survey of workplace engagement ever undertaken in the public sector.
