Muchuu and The "Gould-en" Girl of Hereford

11th March 2010

You can't fail to have noticed Ellie Goulding's meteoric rise to music stardom. With the BBC's Sound of 2010 Award and the BRITS Critics Choice Award firmly under her belt... expectations are extremely high.

This electro-folk songstress was born in Hereford and went to Lady Hawkins Secondary School in Kington before passing through the doors of Hereford Sixth Form College between 2003 and 2005.

Ellie's debut album Lights, reached the number one spot recently knocking Lady Gaga off the top of the charts. She's also set to headline at this summer's V Festival. Her recent live performance on Alan Carr's Chatty Man proved she's got the live show experience all sewn up.

Ellie is certainly flying the flag for Herefordshire's musical talent with BBC 6 Music favourites, Muchuu, hot on her heels. Muchuu are also exports of Hereford Sixth Form College and their debut album Adventure We Go is due to be released in late spring. Find out more at www.muchuumusic.com
