The England team beat the Netherlands by 57 points in their quarter-final tie and defeated China by 17 points in the semi-finals.

Against France, England lost by 25 points after some long and tough battles.

Tom is currently a student at the College, while Ben, an ex-student, is at the University of Edinburgh.

Sally Bugden, chairman of the English Bridge Union, said: "It shows what hard work and dedication can achieve. They are the most successful under-21 bridge team that England have ever fielded and we are very proud of them."
