Self-assessment is thorough, comprehensive and sharply focused. Its use as a tool to bring about improvement is evident across all aspects of College provision.
The only areas for improvement noted were some unsatisfactory temporary classroom accommodation and the insufficient number of students completing their I.T. Level2 Key Skills portfolios.
Jonathan Godfrey, commented Inspectors were very impressed by the College buildings, especially the imaginative new Student Pavilion which provides social and study space. “We already have plans to replace the remaining temporary accommodation with a new classroom block and this recommendation from OFSTED will add weight to our request for funding. The inspection commented on the fact that students become highly proficient at using I.T. but would wish to see more seeking accredited qualification and we shall be looking into this.”
