Success for Lyndon

3rd December 2007

Lyndon Webb is to be congratulated for his outstanding performance in last year’s General Studies examinations. Not only did he produce the best A level General Studies paper of all candidates for the AQA examination board but his entry was deemed to be the best for the whole humanities group of subjects.

In recognition of Lyndon’s success he was awarded a silver medal at AQA’s annual seminar and awards ceremony in London on 9th November 2007. Some measure of the level of Lyndon’s achievement may be gained from the fact that AQA awarded eight medals in 2007 while publishing 870,000 sets of AS and A level results.

As Lyndon was unable to attend the ceremony his award was accepted by Steve Hancorn (Head of General Studies). Lyndon is currently reading German and Spanish at Cambridge University.
